Mikel Arteta has made Viktor Gyokeres his top objective this summer and is perhaps close to getting his husband in Arsenal after a report claimed that a conclusion for long conversations was “threatening”

Arsenal finally comes after the signing of Viktor Gyokeres, with a conclusion to long transfer interviews now “threatening”.

The Gunners are locked up in conversations to understand the much-needed Sweden striker for weeks, but his club with Lisbon played hard Ball about his signature.

At one point, Gyokeres threatened to strike in the midst of the lack of progress over a deal, with sporty false bumps they would not sell him cheaply.

The striker has long been the number one transfer target of Mikel Arteta this summer after he had looked at him for 54 goals in 52 games last season, with many of Europe's elite monitoring him.

But Arsenal quickly came forward as front runners, even with Manchester United who is said to be still in the frame – after the old manager of Gyokeres Ruben Amorim moved to Old Trafford.

Last week it was claimed that United had had a chance to sign Gyokeres with his Arsenal Deal determined, but Arsenal was the only destination in which the Sweden International was interested.

Arsenal has already agreed a reimbursement with sport – understood about £ 55 million plus another £ 8.6 million in add -ons. It is said that the delay is caused by the structuring of those bonuses included in the deal.

However, the athletics has reported that both parties are now “about to be a total agreement for the player”, with a conclusion to discuss “threatening”. Now only “finishing of touching” are needed to complete the negotiations, whereby Arsenal already agrees with the player.

Gyokeres will sign a five -year -old deal with the Emirates, which will put an end to a tense saga after Gyokeres has landed in hot water with his club after he refused to appear for training for the season.

President Frederico Varandas gave the player a warning when he said: “This strategy also makes it more complicated for the player to leave. Nobody is above the interests of the club. Whoever they are. We are calm.

Arteta was interviewed about an update for Gyokeres, but refused to spoil reporters. He said: “I can't comment on a player who is not yet part of our group. If we at least have something concrete to offer to a player, we will do that.”

Arsenal's new transfer chef Andrea Berta went to Portugal this month to bring Gyokeres to North Londs, while he wants to give Arteta a team that challenges both Liverpool and Manchester City for the Premier League title.

The striker will be the fifth major signing this summer, following Martin Zubimendi, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Christian Norgaard and Noni Madueke. In the meantime, it is thought that sport will already put on the replacement of Gyokees after focusing on Almeria Striker Luis Javier Suarez.
