Mikel Arteta and his Arsenal players are celebrating a winning start to the Premier League season, but the last two weeks of the transfer window can produce new developments
Arsenal made a winning start of their Premier League season on Sunday, but there are still a few questions unanswered. Riccardo Calafiori's close-range effort made the difference against Manchester United, but the side of Mikel Arteta was not at their best in every area.
New Big-Money who signed Viktor Gyokeres was not convincing for his first start in the top flight of England, who only led for an hour before he made way for Kai Havertz. It may well be that Arteta decides that the Swede needs more support before Deadline Day.
Crystal Palace star Ebereechi Eze is one of those who have been coupled with each other all summer, although Tottenham appears in pole position with Arsenal who cools down or can change Eze's impressive performance for Palace in Chelsea on Sunday.
Gyokees was not the only new signature involved for Arsenal in Old Trafford, with Gyokees accompanied by Martin Zubimendi in the starting XI and Noni Madueke who came from the bank. Kepa Arrizabalaga and Crithian Mosquera were unused substitutes, while Christian Norgaard missed a small injury.

Paleisbaas gives Eze -update
Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has published an update on the short-term future future of Ebereechi Eze. The English star got more than 80 minutes on Sunday despite ties with Arsenal and Tottenham during the window, and is expected to be available for Palace's Conference League play-off on Tusday.
“The 15, 16 players who had the most minutes last year are still there,” Glasner told Sky Sports after his team had earned a scoreless draw at Chelsea. “There are many rumors about Ebereechi Eze and Marc Guehi, but they were 100 percent with this group in Crystal Palace and they have proven that in a great way.
“EB should have scored a goal today, he had one and it was not allowed. He will come to the training area of Crystal Palace tomorrow tomorrow, on Tuesday, we will take on Wednesday and I expect that he would play back for us against Fredrikstad.”
Arsenal's De Jong Links
Reports in Spain suggest that Arsenal could be in the race to sign Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona. The move would probably only be in the following summer if the deal of the Dutch International in Catalunya ends.
Manchester United has long been connected to a dive for De Jong, mainly when his former Ajax boss Erik ten Hag was at the helm. With United who sells the competition and appoints Ruben Amorim, however, that chat has become cold.
We would probably still take the Arsenal left with a pinch of salt. De Jong has not expressed any wish to leave his current club, even if the much published financial situation that Barca affects could force them to adjust their team in 2026.
Zinchenko breakthrough
Arsenal Utility Man Oleksandr Zinchenko is planned for Fenerbahce, according to reports in Turkey. The Ukraine International is expected to go on a first loan with an option to buy, where the package is worth a reported £ 11 million.
The 28-year-old can be seen for Arsenal in the preseason, but was not in the MatchDay team on Sunday. The arrival of Calafiori and the rise of Myles Lewis-Skelly saw his chances limited previous term, although he had some playing time in midfield.
The current Arsenal deal of Zinchenko is going in 2026. It is unclear whether the Gunners would encourage him to sign an extension before they agree with an output of the loan, reportedly investigated a permanent sale earlier this summer.
