The transfer window is over and Arsenal have already completed their first deal of the month.
Young defender Josh Robinson has already left for Wigan in January and there is still plenty of time to get into action. However, Mikel Arteta is keeping his cards close to his chest and suggested the Gunners look at the opportunities that present themselves in the coming weeks.
“Right now it's looking after the players and getting the best out of them,” he continued after the win over Brentford. “Right now our focus is on our players. I really love my players and I believe in what we have because there is a lot of quality and dedication.”
“Let's see,” he added, “if there is an opportunity, we will look at it.”

Surprise promotion in January
Arsenal are considering a surprise move for Brighton striker Evan Ferguson this month.
talkSPORT report that Arsenal could start their activities in January with a move for the 20-year-old, and are willing to make a move if circumstances allow. They are awaiting a decision from the Seagulls on whether they will listen to offers.
The Gunners, along with Fulham and West Ham, have an interest in Ferguson. Brighton are said to be inclined to 'insist on an obligation clause' if they ultimately decide to let the striker leave Amex.
Currently, the south coast's focus is reportedly on helping Ferguson return to full fitness.
Arsenal CEO is closing in on a loan deal
According to reports in Brazil, Marquinhos will be loaned to Cruzeiro for the rest of the year.
GE Globo reports that the 21-year-old is ready for a second loan in a row in the South American country. Signed by the Gunners in 2022, the winger spent a year on loan at Fluminense but did not take the chance to make the move permanent after falling out of favour.
Marquinhos joined the squad and was a regular under Fernando Diniz, but failed to keep his place as Mano Menezes took charge in Rio de Janeiro. A hamstring injury didn't help the borrower's case.
Diniz is now in the hotseat at Cruzeiro and is set to reunite with Marquinhos.
