Arsenal have just two weeks left of the January 2025 transfer window – and their search for a striker is now or never.
The Gunners are in desperate need of attacking recruits following Gabriel Jesus' long-term injury. And it appears that efforts are underway to acquire a new striker.
Some of Europe's most in-form strikers have already been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium. And we'll find out very soon if they've put pen to paper on a move to Arsenal.
Away from attack, Mikel Arteta's side have also been linked with a host of other players. Check out all the latest transfer news and rumors from North London here:
One of the strikers linked with a move to Arsenal this month is Sporting Lisbon's Viktor Gyokeres. Previous reports suggested that Arteta had given permission for Arsenal to activate the £83 million release clause included in the striker's contract with the Portuguese giants.
But a Premier League rival is doing everything it can to derail a deal. According to The Independent, Manchester United are still hoping to secure Gyokeres' services.
It is suggested that they are optimistic that their positive relationship with Sporting and the chance to work with Ruben Amorim again will be enough to push through a move. However, the Red Devils cannot afford his signature in the current form, so will have to postpone any action until the summer for the time being.
Benjamin Sesko's agent has claimed his client will NOT join Arsenal on loan in January. It was previously suggested that the Slovenian hitman could make a temporary move to the Emirates before completing a blockbuster permanent move.
But that is not the case, according to Sesko's representative Elvis Basanovic. He said: “I don't know where this story comes from. I have never spoken to Arsenal about loaning Sesko. Sesko is not a player on loan, never a topic for Arsenal or any other club.”
Sesko, 21, has scored 13 goals for RB Leipzig so far this season after plundering 18 for the German side last term.
Arsenal are one of many clubs interested in signing Norwegian wonderkid Sverre Nypan. According to The Telegraph, North London is keeping a close eye on the young midfielder, as are Manchester City.
Nypan has already earned comparisons with Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard as he impressed for Rosenborg. It is claimed that the Norwegian side are looking to rake in around £10 million from each sale.
Nypan is represented by Rafaela Pimenta, also agent of Erling Haaland, who has just signed a long-term contract with City.
