While Viktor Gyokeres closes his long-awaited move to Arsenal, the Gunners are encouraged to sign a former Everton striker that is available for nothing this summer
Arsenal has been told to make the left field that Dominic Calvert-Lewin signs, even after completing a deal for Viktor Gyokeres. After long -term negotiations with sporty CP, the Gunners are about to sign their long -term objective.
Agreed with personal conditions, Arsenal has concluded a deal worth £ 63.5 million. The signing is expected to be packed this weekend if the player will undergo a medical one. It has been a productive summer for Mikel Arteta so far.
Defender Crithian Mosquera has recently arrived from Valencia. He followed goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, midfielders Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard and attacker Noni Madueke.
More signing sessions are expected before the end of the transfer window, in which former Arsenale striker Jeremie Aliadiere encourages the club to make more offensive additions. The Frenchman, who played under Arsene Wenger between 2001 and 2007, Koos Calvert-Lewin, who was connected to Manchester United earlier this summer. He recently left Everton after the expiry of his contract after nine years at Goodison.
Aliadiere, 42, UK Riches said via Metro: “If Arsenal is clear with Dominic Calvert-Lewin about what they want from him, I think he would be a big asset to have in the team.
“If the club is clear that he will play a role from the bank and that he is happy with that and will still work hard in the training, I think he would offer another option for the team.
“I don't know what his way of thinking is and if he were happy with that, he has had a few injuries in the last two years, but we know what a great attacker he can be if he is fit.
“It is great in the air, which means that you can be more direct, I think it would be interesting.”
Last season, Calvert-Lewin saw a difficult campaign passing, three goals score in 26 league games and missing in three months between January and May due to an injury.
The attacker made 239 Premier League performances for the Toffees since his debut in December 2016. He enjoyed a breakout year in the 2019-2020 season with 15 goals in all competitions.
Calvert-Lewin continued to thrive the following season, with 21 goals in all competitions. Since then, however, injury problems have had problems with the 28-year cutting tires with Everton at the end of June.
