Arsenal vs Real Madrid prediction: Champions League betting preview, odds and tips

Arsenal will frustrate Carlo Ancelotti's ruling champions Real Madrid while the two parties meet at the Emirates Stadium in the Champions League

The business end of the season is quickly approaching when we enter the quarterfinals of the Champions League with Arsenal welcoming reigning champions Real Madrid at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners would like to settle as the forerunners in this draw, especially since the bookmakers have priced them as the light favorite holes that go in this draw, while Real Madrid always seems to make their own personal play tour in recent years, regardless of the domestic versions.

Both parties will be frustrated in this competition by their respective performances and results in the domestic scene at the weekend, but an opportunity to seed things on the biggest stage of club football, will certainly be enough to motivate these two clubs.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has not confronted Arsenal since he was Everton Boss, but left Goodison Park with back-to-back victories for the cooling, while Arteta started as Premier League manager and would like to add to his seven victories in 13 meetings in his management career.

Arsenal vs Real Madrid

The Gunners were comfortable in the round of 16 9-3 on aggregate, including a ridiculous 7-1 that was beaten in the first stage in the first stage in the Filip Stadium. The side of Mikel Arteta has not reached this phase of the competition since 2009/10 season – two years before the Spaniard came as a player at the North -London club – but will drastically improve their form after recent setbacks.

In their last five games in all competitions, the Gunners had to be a point in Old Trafford against a mediocre man United side claws and they could not get all three points against Everton, because Arteta is 11 points behind Liverpool with the Premier League Titrace anything but sealed. Despite their injuries, however, they are still in a good position in this match and the return of Bukayo Saka will do nothing but stimulate morally in the dressing room.

In the meantime, the ruling champions will be looking for their impressive performance in the knockout phases after they have already seen two heavyweights. A disappointing group phase campaign forced Los Blancos to a knockout play-off round with Pep Guardiola's Man City, which they comfortably forced 6-3 on aggregated before the hard-fought Madrid Derby in the round of 16 the two parties forced to decide on punishment in the Metropolitano.

Despite the firepower at the front, Madrid struggles to guarantee great victories and in fact in their last five wins in all competitions are all done with one goals. They used to suffer a 2-1 defeat against Valencia at home in a line -up with Kylian Mbappe and Viniciu Junior -who missed a penalty to give the hosts an early lead.

The two parties met each other only twice before on the Champions League – when Arsene Wenger led the Gunners to a final where they won 1-0 aggregated thanks to a goal by Thierry Henry in the Santiago Bernabeu.

Arsenal vs Real Madrid

The bookmakers support the Gunners to come out as the winners with Arsenal who are best priced on 11/8 with Betmgm, while Paddy Power, William Hill and Ladbrokes all the hosts on 13/10 prizes to go in the second stage with the management with 5/4 odds.

For those who think that Madrid will win the first stage, then Bet365 and William Hill offer the best opportunities for that result on 9/4 in front of Ancelotti. Sky Bet and Ladbrokes both offer 11/5 to give themselves the upper hand before they return to the Santiago Bernabeu, while Paddy Power and Midnite offer 21/10.

Arsenal vs Real Madrid

I fully expect that this is an end -to -end match with many opportunities on each side, because Arsenal is looking forward to retaining their – albeit modest – undefeated run against Madrid.

With Star Boy Saka back in the mix, I can see him that he gives many opportunities and frustrates the improvised defense of Madrid and when Fran Garcia starts again on the left, he will be for a hard shift of 90 minutes, if Ancelotti has not been patient on him as he was against Valencia.

Elsewhere, Mbappe will want to improve its form of lately. Four goals against City over two legs before they weigh Diego Simeone's Atletico Madrid, would have left him frustrated by his own performance despite his own performance. The French captain will have many more opportunities against an Arsenal side that is also looking for a quick solution with Gabriel for the rest of the season.
