Arsenal’s dream and nightmare ends to season with William Saliba future decided

Arsenal still has the Champions League to play against Real Madrid for their quarter-final draw, although their Premier League-Titeldroom seems to be fading with Liverpool clearly 15 points

There will be a real feeling of “what if” around the 2024-25 campaign from Arsenal. After he had lost the Premier League title of Manchester City for two seasons, there was a real chance this time to finally go better.

Finishing at 89 points and still missing the title is difficult and that is what happened to Arsenal last season, while the city decreased them with two points.

After the men of Pep Guardiola had a dramatic drop -off -off -off -Off -off -Off, Arsenal expected this season as the dominant force -but it was Liverpool who claimed that place.

Arsenal was punished by their shortcomings in the transfer market after they were unable to have the new attacker they needed in both windows and had only brought in two new faces. The Gunners are now 15 points behind the League Liverpool and look destined to miss the title again.

The club still has things to play for and some important factors to focus on when they offer to end their campaign at a peak. Mirror Football has decided to view the future to see how things can come true.

Dream End

Arsenal still has the Champions League for fighting before and after banging PSV 9-3 on aggregated, they have to feel pretty bullish about their chances – even without a recognized striker.

Although it may not be realistic – especially with 15 -way winners Real Madrid who stand in the way in the quarterfinals – would be a dream ceremony of the season that Arsenal won their very first Champions League trophy.

Once you are in the last eight of a competition, you should have an ambition to win it, although Mikel Arteta will be wary that they have a huge task towards Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius JR and Jude Bellingham – who are the ruling champion.

If they amplify Madrid over both legs, they will have to rise against the Premier League-rival Aston Villa or Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-final, with the Ligue 1-side who is favorites to overcome Unai Emery's men.

They would probably get up in the final against Barcelona or Bayern Munich and how every Arsenal fan would like to see the Attone team because of their heartache in the 2006 final against Barca, when the Gunners took the lead before they lost 2-1. In the Premier League, Arsenal still has a mathematical opportunity to catch Liverpool in the title race, but it seems to be a distant dream.

Liverpool should drop a large number of points to give up their lead – while Arsenal should practically win all their remaining competitions. They still have Liverpool to play on 10 May – and at that time they should not be more than nine points.

Since Liverpool has only lost one match throughout the season, this perilous situation seems incredibly unlikely, so Arsenal will hope to strengthen second place and end the campaign as strongly as possible.

They are still only four points for the third Nottingham-Bos placed and they will be wary of accusations that they “finished third in a race with two horses” if they cannot hold their current position.

Arsenal will also be hopeful to welcome some first team players who are injured in long spells. Bukayo Saka has been eliminated with a torn hamstring in recent months, but will be expected in the coming weeks, while Riccardo Calafiori has picked up a knee problem during the international duty.

Nightmare end

The Champions League is the first port of run -up to tackle, because that is the last piece of silverware that Arsenal can realistically win this season.

The first stage of their quarter -final draw against Real Madrid takes place on April 8, two games after the international break – with the first stage at the Emirates.

Some claim that it is better to have the second stage at home to ensure that you are welcomed by your fans for the decisive part of the draw – and it can be a long order on the way to the intimidating Bernabeu to get through.

The defense of Arsenal has impressed this season, but so far they have not confronted too many players from Mbappe or Vinicius with the quality of Vinicius JR and they can rip them to fragments if they are not 100 percent focused and prepared.

Arsenal fans will have bad memories of Lionel Messi that they destroy on his own during a few Champions League-Knock-Out tires in the past year and a half and Madrid have the players to cause that level of damage.

In a sausage case scenario, Arsenal would see a humiliating defeat of Madrid, with their Champions League that is transferred by the second stage on 16 April. Arsenal plays three Premier League matches for and in the middle of their tires against the side of Carlo Ancelotti and must also keep the consistency in those games.

Liverpool knows that they can win the title at home at West Ham on 13 April if Arsenal loses their next two games against Fulham and Everton and the Reds and the Reds win their next two against the same identical teams.

In that scenario, the title race of Arsenal can be over, even before their second stage takes place against Madrid. If all those results happen, Arsenal would have nothing to play with six more league games to play.

Arsenal would then fight to secure second place with forest in their necks – and the men of Nuno Espirito Santo would have had time to catch up if the Gunners had dropped so many points. Securing Champions League football should be a formality, you should think, because only a total disaster could see Arsenal sliding outside the top five if UEFA England grants five places as expected.

There is also the future of a handful of important players to consider. Center-backs Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba both have only two years left to walk their contracts at the Emirates and can be interested in clubs this summer.

Arsenal will hope that a Cataclysmic end of the season does not ensure that the duo turns their heads in the midst of reports that Saudi clubs circled around Gabriel, while Madrid is said to follow a movement for Saliba.
