Arsenal’s dream XI after Sesko deal, Williams breakthrough and 12 players leave

Arsenal expects a busy summer on the transfer of the transfer prior to the following season, with Benjamin Sesko and Martin Zubimendi being connected to sensational movements at the Emirates Stadium

Arsenal will be desperate to end their long trophy -dried next season, with the Premier League title firmly in their sights. The Gunners went very close in each of the last three campaigns.

So what would help them finally bridge that gap? Transfers of course. And with the window open now, the side of Mikel Arteta can be set to indeed splash the money.

Many players have already been associated with stunning movements to North Londs, including Martin Zubimendi and Benjamin Sesko. And although there can be some large movements along the way, a few of the current stars of the team may be moved to make space.

So how would that show the start of Arsenal XI as next season? Mirror Football takes a look:

After expelling Aaron Ramsdale on his arrival, David Raya seems to have the number one position locked. The back-to-back Golden Glove winner doesn't seem to go anywhere.

But Arsenal could possibly look to sign a new backup stopper, where Neto returned to Bournemouth after his loan. Karl Hein could also leave permanently.

The defense for him will also look very familiar despite interest from elsewhere. Myles Lewis-Skelly and William Saliba are both linked to movements to Spanish giants Real Madrid, but Arteta will be desperate to keep them away from the Bernabeu for the following season.

In the meantime, Gabriel Magalhaes and Jurrien Timber have proven important players in recent seasons, so that they will certainly stay in North Londs for the near future. But there can be some defensive outputs.

Kieran Tierney returns to the former club Celtic, while Oleksandr Zinchenko, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Nuno Tavares are all candidates to leave. The first major change in the starting XI of Arsenal could be in midfield.

The real Sociedad -midfielder Martin Zubimendi has long been associated with a move to the Premier League, with reports earlier this year that suggest that Arsenal was in line. There have been some doubts that a deal could happen with Zubimendi who recently allows his admiration of Real Madrid -Baas Xabi Alonso, but the Gunners will hope they are still in line.

And if he sealed a switch to the Emirates, Zubimendi could put together a striking midfield alongside record figing Declan Rice and the current captain Martin Odegaard. That step would also relate to the departure of Jorginho and Thomas Pardeny, where the first confirms all his exit prior to a move to Brazil, while Pedey no longer has a contract.

It is in attack where the most dramatic changes can come. Loanese Reiss Nelson and Marquinhos will leave permanently, while Raheem Sterling does not return to the Emirates Stadium after his disappointing move from Chelsea.

Arteta's dream would probably be a blow to Bilbao star Nico Williams. The Spaniard has long been a target for Arsenal, although the finances behind a deal have forbidden them to make their move. But if the owners of the club to spend their promise to spend great, Williams would be an ideal addition to the left.

And he would join brilliantly with Academy graduate Bukayo Saka, who has locked up the right-hand berth for years if he stays in the Emirates. He could even have a new striker to take care of.

Arsenal has been looking for a new striker for a long time given the constant fitness issues of Gabriel Jesus. There are two candidates on their way to the summer, with Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko among the front runners.

As it looks now, the RB Leipzig -star seems to be the most likely to be a shooter prior to the following season with a transfer costs of £ 70 million that has been advertised. The 22-year-old scored 21 goals for the German side last season. Kai Havertz would probably leave that in a difficult position, but it seems unlikely that he could leave the way it looks now.

Potential Arsenal XI: Raya; Lewis-Skelly, Gabriel, Saliba, Wood; Rice, Zubimendi, Odegaard; Williams, Sesko, Saka.
