Arsenal’s next transfer priority becomes clear as Arteta weighs up three players

Arsenal has signed four players and are close to the completion of deals for Crithian Mosquera and Viktor Gyokeres, but their expenses may not have been done there.

Arsenal likes to continue to strengthen their attack, with movements for three players who are reportedly weighed. The Gunners have been busy this summer and sign Martin Zubimendi, Noni Madueke, Christian Norgaard and Kepa Arrizabalaga.

They also hope to complete deals for Valencia -defender Cishian Mosquera and sporty Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres in the coming days, with manager Mikel Arteta explains: “In terms of figures we are short and we have to improve the depth and quality of the team.

“We are constantly looking in the market. Until that happens, concentrate on the players we have and concentrate on it and I am very happy with what I have seen in the last 10-15 days.”

And the athletics now reports that Arsenal is also considering movements for Real Madrid wing player Rodrygo, Newcastle star Anthony Gordon and Crystal Palace's Ebereechi Eze. The report states that every deal can be linked to the future of Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard.

Rodrygo is strongly connected this summer to a move to Arsenal, after he had fallen into Real Madrid in the pecking order. He made only one start under the new boss Xabi Alonso at the club World Cup and was an unused replacement because they were hit 4-0 in the semi-final by Paris Saint-Germain.

And when he was asked about the future of Rodrygo after the loss of PSG, Alonso said: “I didn't play Rodrygo for a technical decision. We thought we would be better off with other players. It's not about his future.

“The fact that he no longer played is a game-per-game decision. The way things go, we needed another player. There have been no decisions about the future throughout this championship; we didn't play much.

“We start in a different context. We want to build a team that plays as a unit and retain that feeling and spirit. The World Cup has been very demanding; we have been left in the penultimate phase, it hurts, and now we will see what is happening.”

In the meantime, Eze has a release clause of £ 68 million and the player has spoken about a potential relocation of Palace. “I am so focused on just the best player I can be, whatever interest, or whatever happens,” he said in September.

“I want to enjoy my football where I am now. The things I can control is. I am really, really invested to become the best player I can be. Or that leads me to another club, or whatever I am in peace, and I also try to stay there (in peace).”
