After an extremely impressive victory over the Contender Series of Dana White, Artem Vakhitov was offered a UFC contract.

After making his MMA debut alone in 2023, Artem Vakhitov was fast last year with Dana White's Contender Series when he was tailored to Islem Masraf.

After scoring the knockout in the first round, the Russian striker was offered a contract by Dana White, where the UFC boss hoped to set up a monumental fight against Alex Pereira, with the two met twice in glory.

Artem Vakhitov still in negotiations with UFC after rejecting the contract

Although it has been offered a UFC contract, Vakhitov has rejected the range of sensational and instead, he will fight Glory 100 glory champion against Glory 100.

The 34-year-old suggested that the basic wage on his contract had offered a contract through the Contender Series, too low.

However, he revealed in an exclusive interview with Bloody Elbow that he is still in negotiations with the promotion and could possibly still come up with a future in the UFC.

“You know, we passed the Contender Series, and during our conversations we unfortunately could not reach an agreement and we did not even agree on some conditions. Then we took a break in our conversations and negotiations, and the offer came (from Glory), so we accepted that offer.

“It could be logical (to fight on the lower contract in the hope of earning a larger contract), but we have to understand more clearly, it can be very risky to fight for the type of money they offered me.

“For now we just did not sign the contract and we are still in negotiations, but now we are in glory and we are focused on this fight, and perhaps we can think after this fight (the UFC),” Vakhitov admitted.

It is fair to say, with the revelation of Vakhitov, which his fight against Verhoeven is now even greater, and with a victory, his wish to get a more lucrative contract can come true.

Can Artem Vakhitov and Alex Pereira arrange their trilogy in the UFC?

Although it might seem like a longshot, Vakhitov would probably only need a few victories in a shallow light heavyweight division to earn a super fight against 'Patan'.

The two have fought twice before under the Glorie Carrier, both score a victory against each other.

The Brazilian has already explained the blueprint because he was quickly followed to a UFC title fight because of his long rivalry with Israel Adesanya.

With Pereira who may be in sport towards the end of his term of office, a potential fight against Vakhitov in the UFC is now on two major fights, with the 37-year-old set for a title Rematch against Magomed Ankalaev.
