Arsenal -head coach Mikel Arteta has suggested that they are ready for a big summer of expenditure in their pursuit of a first Premier League title since 2004.
Although his comments with the Gunners come 12 points behind Liverpool in this year's Premier League table, there is a realistic hope that investment can see that gap in the 2025-26 season.
“The way we have planned the five first summers [since I took charge]They would become very big and they would have different objectives because the turnaround of players and the purpose of those windows was different, “said Arteta.
“Now we want to increase the depth of the team, but we also want to increase the quality and skills we need to go to the next step. It will be a big one and we are very enthusiastic about it.”
The excitement of Arteta only comes a few days after Arsenal andrea Berta had appointed their new sports director, who took over from Edu Gaspar who had left to work with Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marianakis on a role with several club.
Berta had previously worked in a similar role in Atletico Madrid and will now participate in the Gunners.

“I am very happy to become a member of Arsenal in what is a very exciting period for the club,” he said.
“I have looked at with great interest how Arsenal has evolved in recent years and I have admired the hard work that has gone to restore the club as an important force in European football with a passionate supporters around the world.
“The club has great values and a rich history, and I am looking forward to playing my role in shaping a successful future with a great team.”
In the meantime, Arteta was unable to hide his positivity when he was asked about Berta's arrival.
'I am confident how he will improve everyone. Because of the way he is, because of the personality he has, the way he talks and how passionate he is, “he said.
“That is what we need, new blood with people who are ambitious.”
