Arteta gets one over Man Utd as Arsenal boss set for sweet revenge in £10m deal

Mikel Arteta will be revenge on Manchester United Testing If Arsenal is approaching a highly rated midfielder Sverre Nypan.

The Gunners are about to see another clear young star leave the club for Old Trafford, with the Red Devils closing a January deal for defender Ayden Heaven. Arteta is a big fan of the 18-year-old and beat him praise after a pre-season-friendly against United and called his performance 'remarkable'.

Heaven will follow in the footsteps of talented striker Chido Obi-Martin, who changed Arsenal for United last summer. After they were productive in the youth's youth ranks, the Gunners were desperate to keep Obi-Martin, 17, and hoped to bind him to a new deal.

A bumper contract offer and what he saw as a more realistic path to the first team saw him uprooted to the northwest. United had a look for a new transfer of Arsenal because they belonged to a series of clubs that followed Rosenborg's Nypan, whose playing style was compared to that of Gunners skipper Martin Odegaard.

Manchester City has also been interested, in which the young person is depicted in the Etihad for the recent 3-1 victory of the Premier League Champions on Chelsea. Aston Villa has also been associated with NYPAN, but it is Arsenal who are in the pole to sign the teenager.

According to athletics, NYPAN was told that he would go directly to Arteta's first team team if he would rush elsewhere. It has been reported that Rosenborg wants a £ 10 million fee plus 'important add-ons' for NYPAN, who scored eight goals last season in 28 league games when they finished fourth in the Norwegian top flight.

The presence of Countryman Odegaard, a player who flourished in the Emirates, could play a key factor in the Nypan decision. In the meantime, vacancies in the midfield of Arsenal were able to open themselves this summer, where both Jorginho and Thomas Peny came to the end of their contracts.

The Gunners are also considered in pole position to sign Martin Zubimendi, which closed a move to Liverpool last summer, from Real Sociedad, with a £ 51 million movement that was drawn up before the summer.
