Since Monaco has confirmed that Denis Zakaria (28) will stay in the club. The captain had been the subject of Al-Ahli.
Zakaria, an important player at Monaco since his move two years ago, and club captain since the start of last season, started as the Principality Club Le Havre AC defeated 3-1 on Saturday. In the aftermath of that victory, however, the midfielder was associated with a relocation of the club.
Reports stated that Al-Ahli was talking about conversations with the Principality Club to make a movement sound. As reported by Fabrizio Romano, the deal is now dead in the water. The club has now tried to clarify the situation of the captain in a press release, viewed by Get Frans Voetbalnieuws.
“After several reports that have appeared in the media in recent days, the club wants to clarify the situation and inform that there will be no departure, between now and the end of the transfer window, for their captain, Denis Zakaria, who was recently interested by a Saudi club,” read the statement.
The Swiss International will therefore stay with the club, although departure for other players, such as the will of Breel Embolo, are expected before the closure of the transfer window.
