Match report
The believers of the Villa Park were treated early in the first half in two minutes to two goals, with Morgan Rogers and Donyell Malen placing 2-0 within 15 minutes.
The first haunted behind the defense of Forest to meet the Lofted pass by Youri Tielemans, while Malen grinded the cross of Ian Maatsen along Matz Sels up close.
A much improved second half performance by Forest saw the Rust replacement Jota Silva halve the shortage after he had neatly turned Villa's defense to choose the bottom corner.
However, the pressure of Forest did not turn into a late equalizer, with Elliot Anderson who curled an attempt just wide from the post, while Murillo hit the bar with a powerful effort over time.
Villa expanded their winning series to seven games in all games despite missing late opportunities, with Marco Asensio and Tielemans denied by Sels, who did brilliant to nip the strike of Marcus Rashford before clawing the rebound.
Unai Emery's Side Move Sixth, level on points with Manchester City, which is opposite Manchester United on Sunday, while Forest remains third, lacks the chance to close the gorge to Arsenal.

Data debrief: Villa on a role
Villa has a large week of income, with a quarterfinals of the Champions League first leg against Paris Saint-Germain on the horizon, and they continued their preparation with a different victory.
It is the first time that they have won seven consecutive games in all competitions since a 10-match winning streak between March and April 2019 in the championship.
In the top flight it is their first such run since March 1981 (also seven).
After Arsenal had dropped the points earlier on Saturday, Forest could have closed the second, but now four of their last five Premier League matches (W1) lost, after having lost only two of their first 11 on the road this season (W7 D2).
