Aston Villa weigh an offer for Wolves' Matheus Cunha after the sale of Jhon Duran to Al-Nassr.
Villa will complete £ 65 million banks plus add-on for Duran, who will complete his move on Friday, and who want to use funds to strengthen Unai Emery's urge for European qualification.
Villa can add three new players to their Champions League team.
Cunha is appreciated around £ 70 million and has left on his contract with Wolves for two and a half years.
The 25-year-old, who cost in the £ 40 million region when he moved to Molineux from the former club Atletico Madrid, scored 24 goals and has so far given 11 assists in his 71-game Premier League career.
Cunha is not the only player who is interested in Villa. They also continue to talk about Chelsea Vooruit Joao Felix and PSG wing player Marco Asensio.
Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich is another player who is being considered, while Villa remains hopeful to sign Axel Disasi from Chelsea.
In the meantime, Villa is reluctant to sell Ollie Watkins to Arsenal.
The Gunners are expected to make a second bid for the striker of England after seeing a first offer worth around £ 60 million.
Despite the challenge of Villa and the reluctance to sell, it is clear that Watkins would be open to the Gunners in front of the transfer window on Monday evening.
