Aston Villa eyeing summer move for Real Sociedad star

Aston Villa has regularly watched the La Liga market in recent years, and they could do this again to tackle the right back position in the Unai Emery team. Although he signed Andres Garcia from Levante during the winter transfer window, it seems that they have plans to make another signing in the summer.

In La Liga, right back is a position that did not stand out too much during the 2024-25 season, but a player who made an impression is Jon Mikel Aramburu. The 22-year-old had been about to break in the real Sociedad-Line-Up for a while before Hamari Traore sustained an ACL injury in September, and after that happened, he could make it his own. And he is impressed.

That is why clubs throughout Europe have started to have started in Aramburu. Inter Milan was connected earlier in the season and he was even on the Real Madrid radar when a possible plan B such as Trent Alexander-Arnold does not arrive from Liverpool. Now it is Aston Villa's turn, where Givemesport reports that the Premier League side is looking at a summer movement.

Aramburu came in the season after an excellent Copa America campaign, in which he was one of the striking artists of Venezuela. And given the fact that he has excited with La Real in recent months, his stock is very high. However, it will not be easy for Aston Villa to sign him during the summer transfer window because he recently signed a new contract, which has indicated that he is very happy in Donostia-San Sebastian.

It is still to be seen whether Aston Villa Aramburu can seduce, but negotiating with La Real will be very difficult. They do not need money desperately, and with the expectation that Martin Zubimendi will leave in the summer, they will want to prevent them from losing further important players.
