Aston Villa keen on move for La Liga starlet with €30m release clause
Aston Villa have been eyeing the La Liga market regularly since Unai Emery's appointment as head coach, and that will certainly continue for the remainder of his time as manager at the Premier League club. The latest player in Spain to have piqued their interest is Osasuna midfielder Aimar Oroz.
Aston Villa have been linked with Enzo Boyomo in recent weeks and it appears they have their sights set on another player in Pamplona. According to ED, they are interested in signing Aimar next summer, while Athletic Club have also retained their interest from earlier this year.
It is unlikely that Osasuna will be very willing to sell Aimar if clubs come for his signature, although they would be powerless to stop a deal if his €30 million release clause were to trigger. For the time being, it remains to be seen whether this will happen during one of the transfer periods in 2025.
