Aston Villa has remained angry with the controversial decision of the Premier League to raise their collision with Tottenham by 48 hours and to accuse the administrative body of 'clear prejudices'.
The competition, the last match of Villa Thuis this season, was switched on 18 May – until 7.30 pm on 16 May from 2:15 pm on May 18 – until 7.30 pm, prior to the possible participation of Spurs on the Europa League final on 21 May.
The switch would give Tottenham more time to prepare for that fixture, which could only bring them this century and their first in Europe since 1984 their second trophy
But Villa believes that little attention has been paid to their own attempts to finish in the top five and qualify for the Champions League – nor to their supporters who may now have to change plans in the short term, with the game on a notice period of just 10 days.
Villa Chief Monchi said: 'The change in Tottenham's match is not what we wanted. We had no right to keep it and we got the least harmful alternative.
'Our fans did not earn it, but we tried hard to keep the competition to protect the most important thing for us: you and our team. We need you Friday. '
Director Damian Vidagany added: 'Beveling changed and, to be honest, not happy.
'Hopefully they would all do in the future [remember] The clear prejudice in this case for Villa fans and will be consistent and equally supportive, if we need changes to help us in Europe (if we are hopefully there).
“We didn't feel this support last season or this. European football does not only demand at the point of the final to English clubs. '
Villa was frustrated earlier in February when their request to re -arrange a league match against Liverpool was rejected, which led to a series of five games in 14 days.
The Premier League said in a statement in which the luminaire changes are confirmed: 'This follows a request from Spurs with a view to their potential participation in the UEFA Europa League final on Wednesday 21 May.
“Moreover, the match between Chelsea and Manchester United, which also takes place on Friday 16 May, now starts at 8:15 PM BST.”
