Mateo Retegui canceled out Pierre Kalulu's opener for Juventus, with both goals coming in the second half.
“We coaches suffer more than we enjoy, but even from the bench it felt like a very entertaining match,” Gasperini told Sky Italia.
“You need two teams to make it a great match. I was very pleased with our performance and it was not easy to break their defense in the first half. It was difficult once we fell behind after controlling the initiative for so long. We recovered and both sides had the chances to win. It was an achievement that ultimately pleased everyone.”
Gasperini was asked if Atalanta are now at a 'crossroads' in terms of their form.
“It's not an intersection!” chuckled Gasperini.
“We have played twenty games and there are still eighteen to go. If you think it's for the Scudetto, you can call it a crossroads, but if we have to focus on something, it's the Champions League!
“We left a space on goal and Kalulu ran into it. Overall we did very well in these situations, but we could have closed that gap earlier and it was an avoidable goal. It was a game with many scoring opportunities and overall we did well.”
