Fans of Atletico Madrid can start planning their trips and start tribulating during the 2025-26 season, after La Liga had announced the list of luminaire for the new campaign. Los Colchoneros organizes Rivals Real Madrid on the same weekend as last year, while the return leg of the Madrid Derby is six weeks later.
Los Rojiblancos starts the season where their title challenging last season, with a trip to Espanyol a chance to make early ammends. A home band with promoted Elche and a trip to Alaves define their opening matches before a heavy run comes to Diego Simeone's side early.
The first Madrid derby takes place in the Metropolitano on 28 September in MatchDay 7, but the Ante has already gone on paper for that. A trip to Mallorca is located between visits from Villarreal and Rayo Vallecano, the last in midweek for Real Madrid. This is followed by a different collisions against Celta Vigo and real betis in two of the next three weeks.
Getafe In the Coliseum will follow an international break in MD13 and Athletic Club in San Mames on November 23, two games later. A theme for Real Madrid is also tough in succession, and Atletico ends the year on Girona on December 21, and returns after the Christmas holidays on the fourth January against Real Sociedad in the Reale Arena.
Barcelona in Camp Nou will be around the corner the following week before the schedule allows a breathing space, although that game can be rearranged, depending on the Spanishh Supercup.
The second Madrid Derby arrives in MD29 in the Santiago Bernabeu in MD29 before the international break, and the next game afterwards, Barcelona comes to the city on the fifth of April. Those two games can be decisive for Simeone and his charges.
Sevilla in the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, Athletic Club in Madrid and Elche away from home comes from the back, the last in midweek for the Copa del Rey final. Around the same time, Atletico may also have to do with Champions League matches in the last phases.
After the Copa final in the last weekend of April, Atletico has three tough trips; Valencia, Osasuna and Villarreal. The yellow submarine in La Ceramica is the last game of the season, and those competitions are separated at home by Celta Vigo and Girona.
Simeone, however, will have the feeling that if they can come to the last part after looking at Real Madrid and Barcelona with their chances in tact, they will be in a good position, taking into account the second Clasico on MD35.
