Atletico Madrid is on course for an eighth new addition by their side this summer, and it seems that Napoli Vooruit Giacomo Raspadori is their chosen target. Los Rojiblancos is also linked to the will of breathola Lookman, Matias Fernandez-Pardo, Takefusa Kubo and Roberto Piccoli, but it seems that they are going for the Serie A champion.
According to Matteo Moretto, who reports that after conversations between Atletico and Napoli last week, Los Rojiblancos has now decided that they will try to go for Raspadori. The 25-year-old has already agreed the conditions with Atletico and gave the green light for a movement.
The deal with Napoli can be more difficult. Although the partenopei want to close a deal and are willing to facilitate negotiations, Los Colchoneros probably does not seem to get their asking price of € 30 million. Various reports have emerged, where Calciomercato claims that their offer is of € 25 million plus bonuses.
The information from Voetbal Italia is that Los Rojiblancos has made an offer of € 22 million, with € 3 million available if Atletico is eligible for the Champions League and another € 1 million available in feasible bonuses. In the meantime, Moretto says that the deal will only be € 22 million for Raspadori.
Raspadori played for Napoli 29 times last season, scored six goals and gave assists, but only 14 of those performances had started. Raspadori can play behind the attacker, through the middle or left in the last third part, and likes to go inside to create and reach the end of passes.
He will probably play as an alternative to Diego Simeone's Start XI, and he now has an array options to play behind Alexander Sorloth and/or Julian Alvarez, with Thiago Almada, Antoine Griezmann and Raspadori who all work in similar areas.
