Atletico Madrid insists on another signing before the La Liga Summer Transfer window closes.
Diego Simeone recently rebuilt his team while he wants to build a real challenge for Barcelona and Real Madrid in 2025/26.
Los Rojiblancos finished third last season in La Liga – the eighth time that they have ended up behind the El Clasico pair under the leadership of Simeone – and the club is determined to get closer to their rivals in 2026.
Simeone has already spent an estimated € 159 million on nine new faces this summer, but he also starts to earn back funds through sale, where Samuel Lino completes a relocation of € 22 million to Flamengo.
The club also exercised their buy back clause on Santiago Mourino and then immediately sold it to Villarreal for a win.
Among the newcomers in Madrid, two players have broken the € 30 million figure, as Alex Baena and Johnny Cardoso renew the midfield of Simeone.
The final name Simeone reportedly went hunting at Stuttgart Forward Enzo Millot with confidence high when completing a deal of € 20 million.
However, conversations with Millot -representatives have not delivered an agreement, in which the Bundesliga side indicates that he is considering a last -minute Premier League offer.
That has opened a different transfer -laan for Atletico Madrid with Napoli attacker Giacomo Raspadori now on the radar of Simeone.
With a contract in Naples until 2028, however, securing an exit will not be easy with its current side that quotes an asking price of € 30 million plus € 5 million bonus.
According to Marca, Napoli is more open to a sale than Stuttgart in Millot, and tapping the clock can be a late call from Simeone with the Italy International as more feasible at this stage of the window.
