AJ Auxerre had a spectacular start to the season, in which he conquered every idea of a seasonal hose relegation struggle and, instead, launched an unlikely attack in European places. However, their progress has come to a halt in recent weeks and after a 1-1 draw against AS Saint-étienne they did not succeed in winning one of their last seven games in the Ligue 1.
Auxerre wants to breathe new life into their season and wants to take a dip on the transfer market this month. Attracting a left back has been a priority for L'Aja and L'équipe understands that they are in advanced conversations to take over Frederik Oppegard (22) from PSV Eindhoven.
The Norwegian wing defender has difficulty getting to play time since he was taken over from Valerenga in 2022. This season he played six games in the Eredivisie, including three starts. However, his contract ends at the end of the season and that is why Auxerre now wants to secure the Signature of Oppegard cheaply.
