Ruben Amorim's first post-match interview as Man United head coach was awkwardly interrupted by Ed Sheeran.
United, led by Amorim for the first time, made a dream start and took the lead within 80 seconds of kick-off thanks to Marcus Rashford's fifth goal of the season.
But Kieran McKenna's men responded superbly from going behind and forced several saves from Andre Onana before Omari's Hutchinson superbly struck the top corner from more than 20 yards.
An apparently frustrated Amorim was being interviewed on the Sky Sports pitch after the 1-1 draw at Portman Road when Sheeran appeared. .
The pop star dropped by to greet pundit Jamie Redknapp and then said: 'I don't think he (Amorim) wants to talk to me'.
United's new head coach was unimpressed as he shook his head, before Sheeran added: “I love being back in the Premier League.”
The Ipswich co-owner then parted ways with Redknapp after promising to get back on air, and the interview with Amorim resumed.
Fans on social media were left furious as they criticized Sheeran for being 'rude'.
One said: 'I'm honestly a bit stunned at how rude that was from Ed Sheeran. Amorim should have told them all to fuck off.”
Another United fan wrote on X: 'Imagine a pop star interrupting an interview with a coach. Gets his face on screen every time in Ipswich.'
A third added: 'Amateur hour, completely unprofessional and a tad disrespectful when interviewing a manager.'
Sheeran is officially a member of the Portman Road squad, having bought a minority stake (1.4%) in his beloved club in August.
The Shape of You singer has attended several games so far this season.
He was at Ipswich's first game of the campaign – a 2-0 defeat to Liverpool – although he had to leave at half-time to get to a gig in Serbia.
But Sheeran was able to stay for the full 90 minutes as Ipswich recorded their first league win of the season by beating Tottenham in London earlier this month.
Ahead of Sunday's match, Sheeran visited a new mural that was recently created in his honor.
The artwork, painted on the side of a building on Sir Alf Ramsey Way near Portman Road, shows two images of Sheeran.
One of the images shows Sheeran and a young boy, the other shows him as he looks now.
In both images, Sheeran is wearing an Ipswich kit, while the artwork is accompanied by the words: 'Tractor Boy'.
