‘Bad decision’… Joe Rogan and Daniel Cormier call out judges as fans boo shock UFC 313 result

The return from the Octagon to Las Vegas took a while longer to get started than usual with UFC 313 with a few delays.

Two battles fell off the map, including the return of Curtis Blaydes, but when the action started, there were plenty of talk points.

The card opener between Ozzy Diaz and Djorden Santos laid a high beam for the rest of the night with a back and forth middleweight collision.

In the second matchup, the Ultimate Fighter winner Miron Santos looked his first victory in the Octagon against the American Francis Marshall.

Joe Rogan and Daniel Cormier Slate the Santos vs Marshall Scorecards

Mairon Santos van Brazil presented Francis Marshall's third loss in the Octagon after a three-round game in the Federweight Division.

After the last bell, reactions from social media with fans who credited Marshall to win the Underdog victory with some who believed that he deserved to win all three rounds.

While judge Derek Cleary agreed with that sentiment, the other two judges saw the fight in the other way and inspired a passionate response to social media while fans investigated the decision.

Santos won through a split decision, but the public in the T-Mobile Arena and the commentary team made it clear that the outcome was not a popular one by labeling it a “bad decision”.

Jon Anik, Daniel Cormier and Joe Rogan all stated that the fight should have been the other way with Rogan who said that a 30-27 in favor of Marshall seemed much more plausible.

The jury members may not be necessary in the main event

Fight fans will hope that the result of Miron Santos vs Francis Marshall is an anomaly on this map instead of a recurring story of UFC 313.
