There was interest in Bamo Meïté (23) in the summer, but the defender ultimately stayed at Olympique de Marseille. However, it is a decision that does not suit either party. He has only registered 24 minutes of playing time all season and a January move is now being considered, according to a report from Foot Mercato.
Meïté's last minutes of football came on September 14, and at such a crucial time in his development it is not a situation that can continue. As a result, the Public Prosecution Service wants to fire him, but under a number of conditions. The club is not looking for a simple loan, but, in an ideal world, a permanent transfer. Recognizing that this may not be possible due to the defender's poor playing time this season, a loan with obligation to purchase would also be considered acceptable.
Meïté himself wants to leave the Vélodrome, but there may be a lack of interest. Stade Rennais and several English teams were in the mix in the summer, but no one is currently interested. Both the player and OM hope that this will change next month.
