Barca ‘close in on Swift deal for El Clasico’

Barcelona will reveal a unique partnership with Taylor Swift prior to the next El Clasico.

The side of Hansi Flick is currently at the top of Laliga after an impressive first season for the German coach, although they are only Real Madrid about goal difference for arch rivals.

A potential crunch game could be in the title race in the weekend of 10 May when the two European giants take on each other in the LLUIS Company Olympic Stadium.

That site is the temporary house of Barcelona during the current renovations in the Nou -camp, something that has been renamed the Spotify Camp Nou since the streaming platform signed a blockbuster sponsor agreement with the club in March 2022.

Part of that agreement has also seen the Spotify logo function on the Barcelona shirts since the start of the 2022-23 season.

For El Clasico luminaires, however, Spotify has removed their logo, so that it is replaced instead by the logo of an artist.

This has stars such as Drake, Rosalia, Rolling Stones and Karol G earlier for El Clasico games.

In the meantime, Coldplay took the honor for the first game between the parties this season in October.

On that occasion, the British band happened happiness on the side of Flick when they won a stunning 4-0 win at the Bernabeu.

And according to the Spanish Outlet Mundo Deportivo, the iconic and hugely popular artist Swift is expected for the shirts of the Catalan giants for the El Clasico collision in May.

The report claims that Spotify recently started the process with selecting which artist would be for the long -awaited meeting.

Various artists were in the race, including people like Ed Sheeran and Travis Scott.

However, Swift was preferred and it is said that a definitive agreement is close by, with a few more details to iron.

Meanwhile, in October 2023, Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones were spotted in El Clasico when the iconic tongue and the lips of the band on the Barcelona shirts was decorated.

'We are huge football fans and honored that Spotify has brought our Tongue & Lips logo to adorn the FC Barcelona shirt to celebrate the release of the new' Hackney Diamonds' album of the Stones, the Rolling Stones had said at the time.

“We will encourage the players on the field, as well as fans all over the world who coordinate to watch this iconic game.”

The band's logo could also be seen on the kit of the club for women's team for a collision against Seville.

Limited Edition Shirts with the Rolling Stones logo were then sold, with the signatures of each player who played in the two games.

However, their presence did not make much luck, where Barcelona lost the collision, something that also happened to the club when Drake's OWL logo was displayed on the kit in a 3-1 way defeat against Real in 2022.
