According to reports, Barcelona are interested in out-of-favour Chelsea striker Christopher Nkunku.
The 27-year-old has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge due to his lack of minutes under Enzo Maresca this season.
Nkunku has started just twice in the Premier League for the Blues – who are four points behind leaders Liverpool – with the striker finding the back of the net just twice.
Instead, Maresca has booked Nkunku for the cup competitions, the Carabao Cup and the UEFA Conference League, in which he scored ten goals.
The Frenchman is growing tired of his lack of minutes in the top flight and is looking to move away from west London as soon as possible, according to Sport 45.
Nkunku's agent Pini Zahavi has apparently offered the attacker to LaLiga leaders Barcelona, but the Catalan side are said to only seek a deal at the end of the season and not in the January transfer window.
The France international agreed to join Chelsea in December 2022 before completing a £53million transfer the following summer.
He has had a difficult start in the capital, with injuries hampering his first season at the club under former boss Mauricio Pochettino.
Nkunku played just fourteen games in all competitions last season and scored just three times.
Under Maresca's guidance, however, Nkunku has avoided injuries and has been readily available for every match on the calendar.
The Italy boss, who replaced Pochettino in June, has preferred to use Nicolas Jackson in the striker position instead of Nkunku.
The Frenchman can also play as an attacking midfielder, but Chelsea's star man Cole Palmer is deployed in that role.
But despite choosing to use other players, Maresca insisted in November that Nkunku is not for sale.
“I spoke to Christo days ago and he didn't say he was unhappy,” Maresca said. 'Certainly he would like to play minutes, but like many other players.
'Since we started, for me there are no longer two teams, the team is only one. They can play Conference League or Premier League.
'[I] absolutely wants Christo to stay with us. I have no idea about letting him leave in January.
'Christo's best position is between the lines as number 10, but Cole plays there. They are all fantastic players and they will undoubtedly all play games, but not every game.'
