It was confirmed on Saturday that La Liga and the Spanish Football Federation had rejected Barcelona's latest attempt to sign Dani Olmo and Pau Victor. This is despite the fact that the Catalans raised the necessary money, but this happened after the set deadline of December 31.
However, Barcelona are not giving up as they are determined to ensure that Hansi Flick can call on Olmo and Victor for the second half of the season. Helena Condis has reported that they will take the legal route, with an appeal against La Liga and the Federation's decision being lodged with the Higher Sports Council.
There is no doubt that Barcelona will fight tooth and nail to get Olmo and Victor registered, especially as both could end their contracts if the Catalan club is not successful. It remains to be seen how this issue will develop in the coming weeks.
