Match report

Claudia Pina played a leading role when Barcelona took control of the semi-final of their Women's League League against Chelsea, with a 4-1 win in the first stage.

Pina, who is the top scorer in the competition of this season with nine goals, scored twice and offered an assist, while Pere Romeu's side took a huge step to book their place in the final.

After just 12 minutes, Barca received a penalty in Estadi Johan Cruyff, punished with Nathalie Bjorn for handball after a VAR review, but Hannah Hampton denied Alexia Putellas from 12 Yards.

However, Putellas made up for 10 minutes before half -time with an excellent Ballet to find Ewa Pajor, who threw past Hampton.

The hosts doubled their lead in the 70th minute when Pina shot the cross of Batlle up close, although Sandy Baltimore stopped the shortage when she drilled home four minutes later.

Nevertheless, Barca restored their authority to the draw in the last 10 minutes. Irene Paredes flowed a header from the corner of Pina, while the last combined with Putellas to bring the score to 4-1 on the dying moments.
