Match report

In the last four, the dual title defender placed one foot with a routine 4-1 victory in Germany last week, with Salma Paralluelo under the goals.

The Spain-wing player was one of the two Barca players who received a brace in Thursday's second stage next to Claudia Pina, while responding to the very first Clasico loss on Sunday for Real Madrid.

Paralluelo scored twice in the first 20 minutes to kill every slender hope for a Wolfsburg-Vechtback, after which Esmee Brugts found the top left corner of the edge of the area 3-0.

In complete control over the draw, the hosts withdrew Irene Paredes and Ewa Pajor, and after having replaced the last, Pina scored an Alexia Putellas assist in the 62nd minute.

Goalkeeper Cata Coll saw an error punished by Lineth Beerensteyn when Wolfsburg withdrew a goal, but two beautiful dead ball strikes saw Barca double digits for the tie.

Pina sent a beautiful free kick past Anneke Borbe with 13 minutes to play, and then Mapi Leon did the same in the time when Barca chose the last eight to Chelsea or Manchester City.

Debrief data: Blaugrana Run Riot

Barcelona showed a remarkable finish on Thursday and scored their six goals of 21 shots with a total value of only 1.78 expected goals (XG).

They have now scored 36 goals in their eight Champions League matches this season, at least 11 more than any other team has succeeded in it (Lyon has scored 25).

Only in two campaigns (40 in 2022-23 and 38 in 2021-22) in the competition did the Blaugrana once done better.

Pina's brace from the bank brought her to seven goals in the Champions League of this season, a free from Arsenal's Alessia Russo – who could be a potential last opponent – at the top of the score cards.
