Barcelona hopes to make signing sessions this summer, with a keeper and left -wing player their priority positions to tackle. For the latter, Luis Diaz is the desired target of Sporting Director Deco, although it could be difficult for a deal to agree with both him and his club, Liverpool.
Deco has long admired Diaz and he has already received approval from Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick to continue with negotiations. And in recent weeks it has looked good for the LA Liga champions to get a deal, since Liverpool probably has to raise money as a result of their expected signing by Florian Wirtz.
But despite this, and also the fact that Diaz is a boys for Barcelona, it is far from certain that an agreement will be reached this summer. Sales are needed before the funds for a deal can be collected, and personal conditions may not be agreed for this.
As reported by Relo, Diaz prioritates in Liverpool the following season, and it is assumed that he uses Barcelona's interest to put pressure on the Premier League champions to offer him an improved contract.
In recent months it has been reported that Liverpool Diaz wants to offer a new deal, but negotiations were not positive at this stage. The player and his representatives are not satisfied with the proposed conditions, and therefore there is a desire to absorb pressure by leaning on the importance of Barcelona.
If this is the case, it would not be a surprise to see Barcelona Diaz forgetting, because they only want players whose first priority is to wear the Blaugrana. And of those who fall into this category, Marcus Rashford, who is a different goals of the club, is for the left position.
