Viewer of Barcelona, Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, will return on Saturday in action against Real Valladolid in Laliga, after seven months absent after a knee operation.
The 33-year-old suffered a complete tear of a tendon under his right kneecap in September and was operated on shortly thereafter.
In his absence, Barca turned to Polish shot stopper Wojciech Szczesny, who retired in October to sign as a free agent.
The availability of the captain is an important boost for Barcelona, which leads Liga with 76 points, four free from champions Real Madrid with five more games, including a Clasico at home.
“It's going well, Marc is coming back tomorrow,” head coach Hansi Flick told reporters with a big smile on Friday.
“It will also be good for Szczesny to rest. Marc trains very well and can play at this level.
Asked if Ter Stegen will be in goal for the remaining matches of the campaign, Flick said: “I am not thinking about changing something until the end of the season. But it can change, after Valladolid we will see what happens.”
Since Ter Stegen came to Barca, he has played 420 games for the club and held 174 clean sheets.
Jan Oblak (221) and Manuel Neuer (178) are the only goalkeepers from Europe's top five competitions to improve the latter figure during that period (all competitions).
Barca has less than 72 hours to recover before the Saturday game, after their exciting 3-3 Champions League semi-final draw in the first leg with Inter on Wednesday.
Bottom Club Valladolid saw their relegation from Laliga confirmed last week, while Barca insisted in the reverse fixture in August 7-0.
Saturday's hosts only have four wins this season and the worst defensive record of the competition, with 81 goals in 33 games.
“The attitude must be the same level as Wednesday to Inter Milan,” said Flick.
“It doesn't matter where Valladolid will play next season, they are now playing in LaLiga and we respect them. You can also lose the title of these games.
“In the first part of the season, losing losses against Leganes and Las Palmas [held us back]. We suffered, so the team knows how important this competition is. ”
