Barcelona have confirmed that Lamine Yamal has suffered an ankle injury following their defeat to Leganes on Sunday night, and he will miss the start of 2025. Most relevantly, he will not be available for their Saturday clash with Atletico Madrid at the top of La Liga.
Despite it being clear he was injured after just half an hour following a challenge with a Leganes defender, Barcelona only substituted the 17-year-old in the 75th minute as they searched for an equalizer. The Blaugrana say he has an ankle ligament injury and will be out for between three and four weeks.
