Barcelona reportedly planned their return to their long -term house in the Spotify Camp after the project was hit with several delays, according to reports in Catalonia.
The Catalan giants started working on their world -famous stadium to increase its capacity to 105,000, after winning LaLiga in June 2023.
The Olympic Stadium has since been Barclona at home, with the original date for the return of the club to the Nou Camp for 125 -year anniversary on November 29, 2024.
However, the club has constantly pushed their return home due to slow progress on construction, with previous reports that suggest that the move could be ready for the last El Clasico of the season.
But last weekend's collision with disgusting rivals Real Madrid – who confirmed anything but the title in front of Hansi Flick – has come and went without the much tipped return.
But with the season that ends in the coming weeks, Barcelona will hope to go back to the Nou -Camp prior to their next campaign.
According to Cadena Ser's Program Que t'hi Jugues, the long-awaited move will take place after the international break of September at the start of the 2025-26 season.
This means that the LaLiga side will have three games to play for their return – but the club has submitted a request with the Spanish top flight to play it all this way from home.
Barcelona is said to be hopeful that these extra weeks and the extra days at which their players are with the national team, allowing the work to be completed, so that the majority of the season will be spent in their new old house.
The club has previously released timely updates for fans to view the progress of the renovations, with a whole series of extra images that were released at the end of March.
Reports at that time suggested that the grass would be laid in April, but the installation of the roof – set to be the largest in Europe – is a bit gone.
After completion, the now camp becomes the largest sports location in the whole of Europe.
The constant delays have caused further financial problems to Barcelona, who have been in Dire Straits for a number of years.
But when the expensive renovation of the well -camp is completed, the club can retrieve millions compared to the much lower income from the smaller Olympic stadium.
Despite the distractions of the stadium, the side of Flick handled well during their enforced exile, with the Blaugrana in pole position at the top of the LaLiga classification for the last three competition days.
