Barcelona consider extending Ansu Fati contract until 2030

Ansu Fati has had a difficult time in recent years, but his immortal dedication to succeed in Barcelona could soon give him a long -term contract, which would give him an increased chance of convincing club officials of his ability to make a difference in the Hansi Flick team.

Fati looked like a second chance of Barcelona when Flick arrived last summer, but his hope quickly faded when injuries prevented him from setting himself up. In recent months it seemed that a departure was inevitable, with reports that a move to Saudi Arabia could be on the maps.

Fati could have left Barcelona during the winter transfer window, but he turned every occasion that came on his way because he is determined to succeed in Catalonia. But although he was told that he would not play if he would stay with the club, there is a frustration in his circle in the lack of opportunities that have come to the ways of the 22-year-old attacker.

Barcelona would ideally like to sell Fati, but they understand that he will probably reject opportunities because he wants to succeed where he is now. They are desperate to remove his wages from the books, but because that does not seem to happen quickly, a solution has been proposed.

According to the sport, Barcelona is considering proposing a new five -year contract for FATI, that would come up with a considerable wage reduction. His current deal ends in 2027, and the money he will earn in the next two years (€ 26 million) is what the club wants to distribute over the entire next contract, which can save a lot of money in the short term.

It is still to be seen whether Fati is going for this, but there is little disadvantage that he takes it. If he would refuse, he would almost certainly leave Barcelona at the earliest when his current contract runs out.
