Barcelona manager Hansi Flick was perhaps preparing for a relaxed international break, allowing him to decompcrimage after an intense series of competitions in the Copa del Rey, Champions League and La Liga. Yet he will have to be back to work much faster than expected.
After their victory over Atletico Madrid in Extremis, Flick told the media that 'the break is good for everyone', and his players who are not in international duty were released five days to disconnect. However, the failed profession of the Blaugrana and Osasuna to rearrange the delayed fixture of two weeks ago means that they will be in action on Thursday 27 March.
As such there is little time between the international break and their collision. Ronald Araujo and Raphinha will end their commitments with Uruguay and Brazil Raphinha with less than 48 hours to go before the match starts at Montjuic, while Osasuna will probably also be without a Cameroon International Enzo Boyomo. Gerard Martin, Pablo Torre and Fermin Lopez of Barcelona are also in action on Tuesday evening for the Spain's under-21 side.
According to Cadena Ser, however, they could get Araujo back in time for the Osasuna game. They say that there is a chance that the Uruguayan Football Association agrees to release ARAAJO from their second fixture, an away game to Bolivia, which would earlier he could return to Barcelona and may be favorable. Brazil, which is opposed to Argentina in Buenos Aires, is understandably not to do the same with Raphinha, who played the full game on Thursday evening in an intense 2-1 win over Colombia.
Uruguay is in action against Argentina on Friday evening, but Barcelona is sweating on their defensive options. Eric Garcia is fit and available, but Inigo Martinez recovers from an injury, and there are also doubts about the suitability of Pau Cubarsi.
