Barcelona decide on transfer stance ahead of January window opening

In eleven days the 2025 winter transfer window will open for clubs in Spain. There will undoubtedly be plenty of activity, but one club that will almost certainly be inactive is Barcelona.

The Catalan giants are currently working to ensure Dani Olmo and Pau Victor can register for the second half of the season, as both players will only be on La Liga's books until December 31. The club's well-documented financial problems make things very difficult, and this is why transfer activities are not being considered.

According to Sport, Barcelona have decided that there will be no incoming or outgoing players in January. The position that head coach Hansi Flick and sporting director Deco agree on is that no one can be brought in because of the financial problems, while no one can leave because they will all be needed, regularly as a team.

Barcelona would ideally like to sign in January, but that is not possible. It is therefore logical that no one can leave.
