Barcelona is clear about what they intend to do in the summer transfer market, at least in terms of income, but what they are not yet clear is how much they have to spend on their goals. There are two clear priorities for Director or Football Deco.
Manager Hansi Flick, as he has expressed, is happy with the team he has, and the most important focus in recent months has tied some of their most important players in the long term. One of the key figures in that sense is Frenkie de Jong, who has now been offered a new contract, while Jules Kounde is said to be the next one who will probably renew their deal, following Gerard Martin, Pedri, Gavi, Ronald Araujo and Inigo Martinez.
Relo explain that the two areas on which Deco will focus in the summer are a winger and a full-back. Of the first they want someone who has experience at the highest level, with a different profile than what they have, and one that can give them more versatility in their game. The potential costs in mind are around € 60-70 million and they also have different names in their thinking.
With the full-back, Barcelona wants to bring in someone who can play on both sides of the defense and ideally wants someone to be able to improve young with potential. Deco and the club, however, remain in the dark how much a budget they have to work, and the situation is changeable at this stage. Winning a title can also influence their decision -making.
Liverpool -Wing player Luis Diaz is strongly linked to Barcelona and apparently is the preferred option of Deco to be the winger they sign. In the meantime, there has been less consensus at Full-back, but the will of Marc Pubill, Andrei Ratiu and Vandersonon are all linked to the Blaugrana. Barcelona must also work out the future of some of their players
