Barcelona extend stadium agreement amid Spotify Camp Nou delays

Barcelona had hoped to be back in the Spotify Camp Nou, but it seems inevitable that they will wait a while. The Catalan club has not been determined an exact date and therefore it seems unlikely that the side of Hansi Flick will be able to appear in the iconic stadium before the end of this season.

To make things worse for Barcelona, there were question marks about what they would play their last games of the season, since they would be planned from the Estadi Olimpic Lluis company in May to prepare the stadium for summer concerts. However, these were canceled a few weeks ago and that opened the door for a lease extension to coordinate.

And this has now happened, with MD reporting that Barcelona signed an agreement with Barcelona Serveis Muncipals to extend their stay in the Estadi Olimpic until 20 May, which is against Villarreal two days after their last home game of the season.

Barcelona had previously received the green light to expand their stay in Montjuic, and now it is confirmed. This eliminates all worries about the Catalan club that is 'homeless' for the last month of the season, and the attention is now completely busy again with efforts on the field, which are excellent since the beginning of 2025.

Barcelona is not thinking of staying in the Estadi Olimpic for a third year, and the confidence is total that they can make their long-awaited return to the Spotify Camp Nou before the start of the 2025-26 season. However, there is still work to be done before it becomes a reality.
