Barcelona wants to add a new attacker to their team for the 2025-26 season, but so far their search was without happiness. Nico Williams rejected a movement after he was destined to participate in and efforts for Luis Diaz and Marcus Rashford have been a struggle. As such, the time could be that other players were considered.
At this stage, Rashford is the favorite option, but given that Barcelona sports director Deco is not convinced by the Manchester United -man, the efforts to sign him can be put on hold. Diaz had preferred at a certain point, but he is previously at Bayern Munich, who are willing to get closer than the Catalans to the asking price of Liverpool.
Deco now looks at other players who could focus Barcelona, with cheap operations being priority. And an option is Nicolas Jackson, with an enchanted exit that reports that the Chelsea attacker has attracted interest from the La Liga champions.
Jackson, who has also attracted interest from Atletico Madrid in recent months, is a strong candidate to leave Chelsea before the end of the summer, with the finalists of the club world cup Liam Delap and Joao Pedro signed as striker options. Newcastle and Aston Villa are also enthusiastic, but Barcelona shows the most interest at this stage.
Jackson has previous experience playing in La Liga, which he did with Villarreal. His ability to play as a striker and left wing player would be valuable to Barcelona, and under Hansi Flick he would more than be able to improve his shape from the last few seasons.
Barcelona wants Jackson on loan, but it is not yet known whether Chelsea would be open to this option. They give priority to a sale at this stage, whereby their asking price is set at € 50 million.
