Barcelona eye €30m sale to seal Marcus Rashford’s registration

Barcelona still works to guarantee the registration of Marcus Rashford with La Liga for the incoming season 2025/26.

Last month La Blaugrana concluded a seasonal loan agreement with Manchester United when Rashford participated in their pre -season tour.

The International of England remains in Catalonia for the 2025/26 season with Barcelona with a £ 40 million purchase clause in 2026.

Rashford has made an impression in two cameee appearances and the goal is now to ensure that it is ready for the La Liga opener against Mallorca on August 16.

Barcelona works in a tight financial situation, with the plan to register Joan Garcia on the back of Marc-Andre's injury, and Marc Casado could be sold to facilitate Rashford.

Casado was a vital player in the early weeks of the first season of Flick, but injury disrupted his progression and the image has now changed.

Flick is still in favor of maintaining Casado, but the financial practical way of insisting on La Ligas 1: 1 transfer rule, makes a sale tempting.

That remains the goal, and selling a home-grown player would be a big tick in the trade for Barcelona if they can find a buyer for the 21-year-old midfielder.

According to reports from Diario AS, Barcelona appreciates him at € 30 million, and the rumor is that Flick prefers the Fit-Again Marc Bernal as an option to rotate with Frenkie de Jong at the basis of the midfield of Barcelona.

Casado does not want to leave actively, despite its likely reduced role in Catalonia, and reported that interest of the Premier League did not develop into a formal offer at this stage.

The club display brought the money that has been brought in through the sale and the salary that is saved as crucial to complete Rashford's paperwork – but that can mean that I can look at a La Liga solution on Casado – and a possible loan output for 2025/26.
