Barcelona is expected that he will be taught a new starting striker next summer, with the contract of Robert Lewandowski in 2026. The search for a possible replacement has been going on for some time and now a new name has been added to the mix.

Julian Alvarez is still loved, but chances are that he cannot be offered next summer. As such, more financially viable options are considered and as revealed by Semper Barca, one of them is Dusan Vlahovic.
Barcelona positions itself as serious contenders for Vlahovic, where the report confirms that the club has already contacted the entourage of the Serbian striker and laid the foundation for a possible movement next summer.
Provided that he does not leave Juventus this summer, Vlahovic would be a free agent in 2026 – as long as he does not sign a contract extension in 30 June. Barcelona has used the free agent market with great effect in recent years, and this can be a different copy.
At the age of 25, Vlahovic still has his best years for him – and Barcelona would certainly hope that this is the case. He has been struggling in Juventus since his move from Fiorentina, and the Serie A giants have no plans for him to stay in the club after the end of his current contract.
It is still to be seen whether Barcelona makes a serious effort to sign Vlahovic, which has also been considered by Real Madrid in recent months. In an ideal world they will go for someone like Alvarez or Isak (if he stays in Newcastle United), but given that a central defender at the highest level is also needed next summer, they will probably only be able to spend large on one.
