Barcelona are not expected to have too much financial leeway in next summer's transfer window, even if they manage to finally return to La Liga's 1:1 rule. The free player market will again be intensively examined, and an option that currently catches the eye is Devyne Rensch from Ajax.
Hansi Flick is keen to increase his options at right-back as Jules Kounde is expected to eventually be deployed as a centre-back again. Rensch, whose contract expires at the end of the season, is a popular player at Barcelona, according to Sport. However, they are expected to face competition from the likes of Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.
Rensch would be a good signing for Barcelona as he would be a cheap signing who is only 21 years old. However, there could be some hesitation in pursuing him seriously given the similarities with Sergino Dest, who struggled mightily at the club after being signed from Ajax in 2020.
