Ferran Torres is out for the time being due to a calf injury he sustained in Barcelona's 2-1 defeat to Atletico Madrid.
Torres was a substitute in the second half of Saturday's match, which Barca dominated but ultimately lost, with Alexander Sorloth netting a last-gasp winner for Atleti, who moved three points clear of the Blaugrana at the top of LaLiga.
However, the Spanish attacker was suffering from a calf problem, which Barcelona confirmed on Tuesday.
A club statement did not mention a timeline for Torres' return, with Barca due to play in the Copa del Rey on January 4.
Torres, who joined Barcelona from Manchester City in January 2022, has scored five goals and two assists in 16 games this season.
Ferran Torres left Saturday's game with a muscle injury. Because the problem has not disappeared, the player underwent magnetic resonance today and was diagnosed with a minor injury to his soleus. This means he will be unavailable until the injury has healed. pic.twitter.com/1y8dxjTfg8

Barcelona are going through a terrible run of form, which has seen them relinquish their lead in LaLiga to Atleti.
They have won just one of their last six LaLiga games and have now suffered home losses to Atleti, Leganes and Las Palmas.
