In recent weeks, Barcelona has separated with Ansu Fati and Pablo Torre, and another young star could leave the club in the coming weeks.
So far, Barcelona has signed two players: Joan Garcia and Marcus Rashford, whose arrival was made officially on Wednesday. But the addition of Marc Bernal will feel like a new signing, given that the teenager spent almost the entire season of 2024-25 on the sidelines after storing an ACL injury last August.
Since that day, Bernal has been working back to full fitness – what he has done now. He has been involved in the training for the season with Barcelona, although the first match of the 2024-25 campaign can be too fast in a month.
However, there is a chance that Bernal will not play for Barcelona at all, because he is linked to a move. According to Gianluca di Marzio, AS Roma is interested in signing the 18-year-old, and they have initiated contacts with the La Liga champions hoping to get a deal.
In addition to Roma, real betis are interested in Bernal, although they are lagging behind in the race. The Serie A -side wants to get a deal for the talented teenager, who is expected for big things in his career despite the ACL damage.
It would be a huge surprise to see Bernal Barcelona leave this summer, given that he is assessed by everyone within the club – especially head coach Hansi Flick. A loan would be the only conceivable way he leaves, but even then the idea that he is being counted for the 2025-26 season is, so it would be a shock if a movement would be given.
