Barcelona has been watching their full-back positions on the transfer market for some time, and although the shape of Jules Kounde and Alejandro Bald has stopped talking about movements, it is still an area they are looking at.
One of their most important goals for the summer transfer window seems to be a right back, depending on the salary limit they have available. In the meantime, Barcelona has just handed a renewal to Gerard Martin on the left.
According to Christian Falk, however, Barcelona is interested in Bayern München -Tiener Adam Aznou. The 18-year-old left back is a former La Masia product, which had moved to Bayern in 2021 when he turned 16, and the Blaugrana would like to bring him back. They note that Aznou is also a friend of Lamine Yamal.
Bayern, however, plans to retain Aznou, which they see next season as a potential alternative to Alphonso Davies, another player Barcelona has recently been connected.
Currently, the decent talent in Spain is on loan, after he has joined La Liga -Outfit Real Valladolid until the end of the season. Aznou has made seven performances for La Pucela since he came to them and started with three -quarters of the competitions for which he has been available, alternately between midfield and the left.
Barcelona looks like they give priorities on the right this summer, where Martin shows herself as a competent alternative to Balde. Hansi Flick has shown less confidence in Hector Fort on the other flank, even though he was greatly appreciated before last summer.
Another potential factor for director or Football Deco to take into account his planning is the progress of Jofre Torrents. At 18 and in the same age as Aznou, there is a growing belief that at some point he could be ripe for the first team, after getting well into his first trips with Barca Atletic.
