Barcelona has made Liverpool -wing player Luis Diaz their top priority for this summer, whereby director of Voetbaldeco maintains the interest in last summer's Colombia International. Hansi Flick and Deco apparently believe that he would be a way to strengthen their forward line, and now Barcelona is taking steps to make the deal happen.
On Wednesday it was revealed that Liverpool was 'perplex' because of all the stories that came about Diaz, after they had not heard from the player himself and from Barcelona. However, according to a report from athletics, that situation has now changed, which say that the Catalan giants have now been in contact with Liverpool.
Their information is that Barcelona formally made contact with Liverpool on Wednesday with regard to Diaz. And got an unambiguous response: Diaz is not for sale. They have told Deco that they are not going to sell a player in the plans of Arne Slot for next season.
Diaz was also interested in Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia and Manchester City last summer. They say that the Saudi striving for Bruno Fernandes 'helped' to determine a market value for Diaz. The same outlet previously noted that Al-Hilal was prepared to pay € 95 million for Fernandes.
