Barcelona manager Hansi Flick provide worrying Dani Olmo injury update

Barcelona won 3-0 against Osasuna on Thursday, but it was not a perfect evening for the Catalans, because Dani Olmo had another injury problem. The midfielder stopped shortly after scoring the second goal in the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Company, and he is now set to an enchantment on the sidelines.

Hansi Flick spoke about the issue when tackling the media after the game, and his words did little to calm the nerves of Barcelona supporters, according to Diario ALS.

“He is injured. There are many games in this calendar and he will miss something and it is bad news for us. I think it was not the best date to play. And we paid a lot because Olmo's injury is not good for us.”

According to MD, Olmo will miss at least 10 days of action due to an adductor injury. It means that he is excluded for La Liga matches against Girona and Real Betis, as well as the Copa del Rey Semi-final second stage of next week against Atletico Madrid in the Metropolitano. Moreover, he is also considered doubtful for the first stage of Barcelona's Champions League Quarte final against Borussia Dortmund.

Flick also spoke to his pride on his Barcelona side, making it the eight La Liga victories one after the other, and he also excluded Gavi for praise.

“I hope we introduce the best moment. This road is long, there are still ten games to play. At the moment we are three points ahead.

“Gavi played a fantastic game. It was not easy for him to come back after the injury. He is a professional player, from La Masia, he is focused and I am happy with him because he is sitting on the couch for a while and he played as a starter and played a good game.”
