Barcelona and Real Betis undoubtedly look at the summer to get their plans in order, but they can be confronted with upcoming things this month. The young Brazilian forward Vitor Roque is consistently linked to Palmeiras in his home country, and a report claims that a bid for him could be on his hands.
Earlier in January it was revealed that Palmeiras was willing to offer € 27 million for 80% of Roque's rights, but Roque still wanted to triumph in Europe and the year in La Liga ended. However, the situation changes and with the Brazilian transfer window open until 28 February, O Verdao wants to make a movement. They hoped to return midfielder Andreas Pereira, but after he had chosen to stay in Fulham, now wanted to make a splash with an attacker. Roberto Firmino is also considered an option.
The situation from January may also have changed. Betis spent relatively large on the new striker Cucho Hernandez of Columbus Crew, who came out € 13 million on Deadline Day to get a deal. In addition, Manuel Pellegrini has used Cedric Bakambu for Roque in recent weeks, and the last of Sevilla is that Los Verdiblancos is not going to exercise their own purchase option of € 25 million on Roque for 80% of his rights, or extended his loan Next season.
Palmeiras hopes to have Barcelona on the side of Barcelona when they offer Roque, which entrusts the Blaugrana about the end of his loan agreement with Betis. UOL (via Sport) says they can offer in particular.
Barcelona is probably motivated to get a deal and to earn back what they can of the € 30 million they have spent on Roque, who still has six years in his deal, and apparently little future in Catalonia. The question will be whether Betis is willing to let him go, and what financial compensation they want the deal now. Betis also has Chimy Avila, but with European competition still in the game, their team may not want to weaken in an already difficult season.
